A Spectator's Account of Milan Fashion Week
Milan Fashion Week has officially ended, and a memorable one at that. From Demna's inaugural collection for Gucci showcased on a “red carpet” prior to a fashion film, to Giorgio Armani's poignant final collection, there were a fair share of notable moments that left the fashion world buzzing.
While I did not sit front row at any of these shows, I did manage to secure a prime spot to witness the entrance of influencers and celebrities at the Fendi and Prada events but most importantly capture shots of their street style. These are some of the trends I noticed at each of the shows:
Fendi: Embracing Autumnal Luxe Through Color and Texture
Nothing quite screams autumn like rich brown hues, and this was a common thread among the fashion-forward crowd arriving at the Fendi venue. Influencers masterfully incorporated various brown tones into their outfits, instantly elevating their style with a luxurious and sophisticated feel.
Knee-high leather boots were also all the rage, and I can completely understand why. They offer an effortless way to lengthen the leg while strategically showing just enough skin beneath dresses and skirts to add visual appeal.
Here are some of my favorite looks that perfectly encapsulated the Fendi vibe:
Prada: Injecting Edginess Via Silhouettes and Tones
Whereas I came face to face with influencers at the Fendi venue, the Prada show offered me an incredible vantage point to spot celebrity guests entering the Fondazione Prada, including the likes of ENHYPEN, Emma Chamberlain, and Kerry Washington.
Matching the difference in the type of guests I saw entering the shows, the street style also did a complete 180. Prada guests were edgier, sporting looks that mixed masculine and feminine elements and in dark moody colors like greys and blacks. Some of my favorite looks were those with long pleated skirts paired with loafers or sports letterman jackets.
The Spring 2026 collection perfectly mirrored the vibe of the attendees' outfits. The boiler suits stood out to me in particular because it encapsulated the blend of masculine and feminine, creating an effortlessly cool effect that I can easily see being incorporated into people’s wardrobes.

Being my first experience attending the fashion shows at Milan Fashion Week, I was anything but disappointed. While this time I was a spectator, I couldn't help but envision myself, a few times over, as one of those esteemed guests attending the shows one day. Until then, I am glad I got a taste of this year’s unforgettable events.
