Boldly Step Into Fall With Three Must Have Trends From The Fw25 Runway
Autumn - the best season in my opinion.
When I was little, I scoured the likes of Vogue and store catalogues for inspiration for how I could re-invent myself for the upcoming school year. As I have gotten older, this idea of re-invention has remained intact.
This year is no different. The FW25 runways have spoken, and this season's trends are all about bold, daring, and practical style. From statement accessories to utilitarian classics, here are the trends I'm most excited about—and how you can wear them with confidence, no matter your personal style.
Bold Belting

This season, belts are stepping out from the shadows. On the runway, brands such as Schiaparelli and Victoria Beckham played with thickness, detailing and fabric choices of the accessory to add a certain je ne se quoi to garments to pull together the looks.
While this trend can work for anyone, I see it being a point of interest for the fashionistas who love the power of an accessory in transforming a look into a vibe. As with any accessory, it opens the door for creative expression, with the belt trend providing new inspiration as to how they can be used to create visual interest.
Military Mayhem

Jumpsuits, Bomber and Utility Jackets made an appearance during shows like Hermès and Dolce&Gabbana. While some of the styling was straightforward, others experimented mixing masculine lines with feminine elements giving a fresh feel to the style.
It is exactly this blend of masculine and feminine that will resonate with teens and young adults in Milan who have a knack for mixing practical pieces like baggy jeans with a touch of sexiness like a fitted crop top. This trend merely provides a new avenue to maintain the core elements of their style that they enjoy while breathing fresh air into it with patterns, textures and colors.
Unleashing The Wild Side

Does animal print truly ever go out of style? Brands including Balmain, Khaite and Ferragamo all included animal prints and textures within their collections - and we are not just talking about the traditional cheetah print. Although it’s one of my favorite prints, designers played with different prints like Zebra as well as expanded the styles of fur jackets.
Given the versatility of animal print, this trend is something that can be adopted by the sophisticated Milanese woman who wants to look refined and fashion forward with a faux fur coat or a tailored printed dress. It is also something that can be adopted by the 'too-cool for school' street-style crowd who might opt for a statement jacket.
From creating a defined silhouette with a bold belt to adding an adventurous touch with animal print, these trends prove that style and practicality can go hand-in-hand. They offer a simple way to refresh your wardrobe without buying all new pieces. Which of these FW25/26 trends will you be tapping into?
